Guide to the Opt-Out and Reply Settings Transition
Introduction
Starting 4 February 2025, SMSPortal will transition all account opt-out and reply settings to the Automation Flow Builder. This move aims to streamline the management of these settings, making customization easier and ensuring all behavior aligns with your automation flows.
This guide explains the changes, benefits, and where to find your updated settings.
Why the change?
The migration to the Automation Flow Builder offers several advantages:
- Centralized Management: All settings are now managed in one place.
- Improved Customization: Easily tailor and update your opt-out and reply rules.
- Predictable Behavior: Automation flows ensure consistent and reliable functionality.
What’s new?
If you are currently using account default reply-rules, two pre-built flows will be created in the Automation Flow Builder to replicate your current setup after the 4th of February 2025:
Account Defaults:
- Covers standard opt-out and reply settings for website sends.
- Optionally applies to API sends if selected.
Account Defaults API:
- Specifically handles opt-out and reply settings for APIs when the API option is unselected.
- These flows provide a seamless transition, and you have the flexibility to customize or rename them as needed.
