Overview

Ensuring your account is secure is essential to protecting your data and preventing unauthorized access. This guide outlines the key security features available, and how to configure them effectively.

Security Score & Recommendations

The Security Score provides an assessment of your account’s security strength and suggests improvements.

  • A low score indicates missing security measures that should be enabled.
  • Follow the recommendations provided to enhance account protection.
  • Regularly check your Security Score to maintain a high level of security.

1. Password Management

A strong password is the foundation of account security. Follow these best practices:

  • Use a unique password that combines uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Avoid using easily guessable passwords, such as birthdays or common words.
  • Regularly update your password to enhance security.
  • Change your password immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.

To update your password, navigate to the Security Settings page and select "Change Password".

2. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification when logging in.

  • Enabling 2FA means that even if someone gains access to your password, they cannot log in without the verification code.
  • The verification code is sent to your registered email address.
  • This feature is highly recommended for all users.

To enable 2FA, navigate to the Security Settings page, enter your verification email address, and click on "Update Email".

3. Current Sessions

Keeping track of active sessions helps prevent unauthorized access to your account.

  • View all active sessions on your Username, including IP addresses and locations.
  • Log out any unrecognized or unused sessions manually.
  • Regularly review your session history for suspicious activity.

For a detailed History of your account sessions, visit the "Session Management" Guide.

4. Country Whitelisting

Country Whitelisting allows you to limit account access to specific geographical locations.

  • This feature prevents logins from unapproved countries, adding another security layer.
  • Only users logging in from whitelisted countries will be able to access the account.
  • Ensure that your primary country is always included in the whitelist.

To enable Country Whitelisting, navigate to the Security Settings page, toggle the feature on, and add the approved countries.
