Insights

Gain insights into your WhatsApp campaigns and tempalte usage.

Go to WhatsApp > Accounts. Click your specific Account and select the Insights Tab. You can also manually refresh using the reload icon next to the page title. A date range picker in the top right lets you filter all data on the page to a specific period.

Message Stats

Five summary cards at the top give you a snapshot of activity for the selected date range:

Submitted — Total messages submitted to WhatsApp for sending. This is your starting count before any delivery processing occurs. The info icon (ⓘ) next to this label provides additional context on how this is counted.

Delivered — Messages successfully delivered to the recipient's device.

Meta Billable* — Delivered messages that incurred a Meta charge. Marked with an asterisk as this figure is approximate and may not match your billing exactly.

Meta Non-Billable* — Delivered messages that incurred the SMSPortal processing fee only. Also approximate.

Replies — Messages received back from customers in response to your outbound messages.

Note: The asterisk (*) on Paid and Free indicates these are estimated figures based on Meta's conversation pricing model. Refer to your account billing for exact charges.

Message Breakdown

A line graph showing message volume over time across the selected date range. Use the filter dropdown in the top right of this section to change which metric is plotted. Available options:

  • Submitted — volume of messages submitted
  • Sent — messages handed off to WhatsApp
  • Delivered — successfully delivered
  • Meta Non-Billable — delivered with SMSPortal processing fee only
  • Paid Delivery — delivered at full Meta rate and processing fee
  • Replies — inbound replies received

Use this graph to spot trends, identify high-volume days, and correlate delivery performance with specific campaigns or sends.

Message Split

A second chart showing how your messages break down by template category over the selected period. Three categories are tracked with running totals displayed alongside the chart:

  • Marketing — promotional and re-engagement messages
  • Utility — transactional messages tied to customer interactions
  • Authentication — OTP and verification messages
  • Service — Free form messages that fall within the customer service window

Use this view to understand your channel mix and monitor how your usage is distributed across billing categories.
